An outlet for self-expression, where you increase your self-confidence, speech, social and mental awareness.

The opportunity to suggest interpretation or direction of a scene and to take on different roles. Above all - have fun!

Learner & Entry Requirements:

Just a willingness to take part in games and act in front of others.

General & First Session:

Please wear comfortable clothing.

Course Aim & Objective:

To gain confidence in performing in front of others and to have fun! Learn to co-operate with others in improvisation, interpret character and text, act and perform in public, learn a speech.

Assessment:

Learning is assessed visually through observation in classes.

Progression:

To be discussed during the course.

Course Syllabus:

An opportunity to explore your own ability in performance and to learn through improvisation and interpretation of texts. Workshop-style sessions include movement; vocal exercises and techniques; theatre games; working with scripts; and devising scenes from scratch. Encouragement to experiment when working with texts and your own improvised scenes. Emphasis is on co-operation and working as a team.
