A popular and indepth programme of study, the aim of this course is to develop your perfomance skills while giving you a sound knowedge of sport and exercise science. This two year course covers a broad curriculum, giving a wider understanding of the industry and preparing you for a future career in football, fitness and sport.

Course Content

Fitness training and programming
The athlete lifestyle
Sports coaching
Rules regulations and officiating sport
Organising sports events
Plus:
FA Coaching plus qualifications
Level 2 Gym instructing qualification
First Aid
Entry in the British Colleges football leagues
Daily professional football coaching
Second Year study tour
In partnership with Thomas Hardye Schools, we are also offering students on the Extended Diploma course the option to study an AS level in Physical Education 1 day a week at Thomas Hardy School.

Four days per week , football coaching every day with Wednesday match fixtures.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of four GCSEs at Grade A*-C, including English and Maths. Functional Skills at Level 2. First Diploma / Level 2 Diploma at Merit level. An entusiasm for Sport.

Next Steps/Employment

Employment in the football and sports coaching or health and fitness industries. It could also allow you entry to an Apprenticeship programme or university degree in Football Studies
