What will I be doing on the course?
- You will study a range of performance skills such as; Musical Theatre, Jazz Dance, Acting Techniques, Developing Voice, Performing Arts business, Historical Context, Ballet and The Healthy Performer
- You will develop your performance techniques via skills workshops, rehearsals and full public productions
- All students will perform in at least 3 shows a year.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a mix of practical performances in class and in productions and written course work. Functional Skills tests are online.
What will I need?
A kit cost of £40 is required. This will include all the shoes required for your studies and a uniform hooded top.
What can I do next?
You will have the technical skills and diverse performance experience for:
- Higher Education - a Foundation degree or honours degree in a performance discipline
- Continued training at an Academy of Acting/Dance School
- Employment within the performing arts sector
Additional Activities
There is a full enrichment system which includes theatre trips and master classes by industry professionals.
Functional Skills will also form part of your studies, giving you the opportunity to further develop your practical communication skills such as creating letter writing, CV's etc.
