Entry Requirements
- 200 GCSE entry points including English at Grade C or have a Level 2 Diploma at Merit level
- You will have to provide examples of art and design work at interview
- We also welcome applications from students with relevant experience or qualifications
What will I be doing on the course?
This is an assignment based practical course designed to introduce you to a broad range of applied Graphic Design areas, which includes:
- Design for Advertising
- Image Manipulation, Typographic Design
- Information Graphics
- Corporate Branding
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through working on practical assignments, producing a range of products and portfolio material. Functional skills are assessed through online tests.
What will I need?
Students are required provide a basic kit of materials and sketch books suitable for graphic design. You will be given a list to help with this. There may be additional payments required for some study trips, books and personal stationary.
What can I do next?
- Progress to Higher Education at HRC with Foundation Degrees in Graphic Design
- Progress to a BA Hons Degree course in Graphic Design, Graphic Design and Illustration, 2D animation, 3D animation, Advertising and Marketing
- Employment in the Graphic Design Industry
Additional Activities
You will take part in our enrichment programme, taking trips to galleries, museums and exhibitions in London. You will develop your skills in English, Numeracy through taking Functional Skills as appropriate.
