What does the course include?
This exciting new programme starts in September 2012 at London Leisure College.
The aim of this programme is to provide you with a number of vocational qualifications that employers in the SPORTS AND COACHING SECTOR have endorsed and supported. Ultimately, the aim is to give you every opportunity to gain employment or work for yourself as a SPORTS COACH.
The qualifications that are included in this programme are:
- Level 2 Award in Principles of Coaching Sport
- Level 1 Award in Football Coaching
- Community Sports Leaders Award
- Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health

Alongside these qualifications you will also be covering Functional skills to support your personal development.

What do I need to get on this course?
This programme is open to anyone who is 16 to 18 years of age.
You will need a good command of literacy and numeracy working to a level 1 or above plus genuine interest in working within the sports coaching sector.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a variety of methods according to the qualifications included in the course.
Where does it lead?
On succesful completion of the programme you can progress to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science or gain employment.
