What does the course include?
This course had a 93 per cent pass rate in 2011/2012.
This is a double GCSE worth two GCSEs in Science. You will complete both of these with Core in the first half of the year and Additional in the second.

What do I need to get on this course?
You will normally have passed a pre-GCSE in Science or if retaking, passed GCSE Core and Additional Science to at least a grade DD.

The Core science is assessed by multiple choice tests and Internally Assessed Assignments based around practical work in the lab.
The Additional Science has these elements but also includes a written examination.
Where does it lead?
You can progress on to level 3 courses in Science, Engineering or Technology.
