What does the course include?
This course is for professionals working in the care sector. Learners will have a choice of three pathways (below) and 9 mandatory units:
- Generic
- Dementia
- Adults with Learning Disabilities

You will also need to be employed or have volunteered for 6 months in a Health and Social Care setting. You will need a letter from your employer to confirm this, and that they will support you while you are completing the course.
How will I be assessed?
Direct observation is carried out and other forms of evidence are also used.
Where does it lead?
Successful completion of this course leads to the level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
