What does the course include?
This is a one year course which is ideal for you if you are keen and enthusiastic to study fashion but have no previous experience.
You will study:
- Design
- Illustration
- Garment construction
You will also study personal development and employability skills as well as functional skills in preparation for the higher level courses and eventual employment.

What do I need to get on this course?
This course is aimed at 16-19 year olds
No previous experience in Fashion is required, however if you have a portfolio of Art work , Textiles or fashion related subjects please bring this along for your interview day.
You will be asked to complete an Initial assessment; numeracy & literacy at Entry 3 or above and a fashion written assessment task.
- A fashion, art or textiles qualification at entrylevel or at
least 2 GCSEs graded D-G
or equivalent
- A keen interest and commitment to the course
Where does it lead?
This course can lead to our BTEC Diploma in Fashion level 2.
There is a 12% increase in fashion related jobs forecast in Greenwich between 2012 and 2017.
