The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma is a one year academically - based course that is designed to introduce students to the Public Services. A mixture of theory and realistic work - based situations allow the individual to develop a sound knowledge of all the uniformed services. Physical fitness is an important aspect of the course, although not a pre - requisite for entry.

Progression
The Subsidiary Diploma is equivalent to 1 vocational A-Level. After successfully completing this qualification many students progress onto the second year of the the Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma. Others have taken up roles in the Armed or Uniformed Public Services.
Entry Requirements
BTEC Level 2 Diploma with Merit or 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.
