Suitable For
The BTEC Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness courses are practical,work - related courses. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. Students will study the BTEC Level3 Subsidiary Diploma in Year 1 (1 A-Level) and upon successful completion of this will progress to either the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma. These are equivlent to to 2 and 3 A-Levels respectively.

Practical and written assignments
Progression
On completion of this course you can go on to work in the sport and leisure industry. There ia also an opportunity for progression on to the Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching at Grantham College or a degree in a related subject.
Additional Information
This course will be delivered in the first year as a one year Subsidiary Diploma and if relevant grades are met learners will continue onto the Level 3 Diploma in their second year.
Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs (Grade C or above including English) or a Merit in a sports related Level 2 Diploma.
