• Electromagnetic Radiation and Quantum Phenomena
• Current Electricity (Weighting 40%)
• Vectors, Forces, Energy, Motion, Torque, Friction, Energy, Materials, Waves, Interference, Diffraction(Weighting 40%)
• Assessment of practical skills by examination (Weighting 20%) Year two (A2)
• Gravitational, Electric and Magnetic Fields Centripetal Force, Circular Motion, Momentum, Capacitance, Simple Harmonic Motion (Weighting 20 of total A level) Option Example: Nuclear Decays, Fission & Fusion, Thermal Energy, Ideal Gases, Kinetic Theory.(Weighting 20% of Total A-Level) Assessment of practical skills by examination (Weighting 10% of Total A-Level) 1. Assessment Method

Year one (AS) 1 1 1/4 hour written paper on module 1 1 1 1/4 hour written paper on module 2 1 1 1/2 hour practical examination Year two (A2) 1 1 3/4 hour written paper on module 4 1 1 3/4 hour written paper on module 5 1 1 1/2 hour practical examination
