Case Studies

GC STUDENTS BRING THE HOUSE DOWN AT GLOUCESTER GUILDHALL Will, Marcello and Kate, who are all studying towards Level 3 in Music Performance recently excelled with their live project, ‘Past, Present and future’, a gig they put on at the Gloucester Guildhall. The aim of the event was to showcase bands, DJs, singers and musicians over the age of 14 who are either; interested in becoming a GC student, current GC students and ex GC students who have gone on to progress in their musical careers post GC. A stunning line up of raw talent rocked the house at the Guildhall gig held on 15th March, the students secured a brilliant line-up of bands and performers of all ages for the event, even some as young as 14! The stunning selection of talented musicians included bands such as: Stereo Influence, Swift Manouver, The Acrylics, Feed the Moose and winners of the search for new talent, Strange Things Frighten Us, plus a showcase of current students at Gloucestershire College. Course Leader Lee Holder said: “We had a fantastic line-up with an audience of 350, the atmosphere was amazing. The students even had a few surprises up their sleeves for the event. Being the same day as Red Nose Day, the student organisers performed a special song at the gig as a tribute to the charity in a bid to raise money for the worthwhile cause.” The gig which was a free event raised £50 which was donated to Comic Relief.
