You also complete:
NCFE Level 2 Certificate for Resort Representatives: the resort
representative has an important role in representing the tour
operator and ensuring the success of clients’ holidays. This
qualification provides the skills knowledge and understanding
required to carry out the role of a resort representative.
Functional Skills: you get the chance to gain useful transferable
skills in communication application of number and ICT
Welcome Host Award in Customer Service: customer service is very
important in any industry but especially travel and tourism. With
this award you identify and demonstrate skills which promote
excellent customer service.
There are no exams on this course. All 12 Level 2 diploma units are
assessed by completion of assignments which you produce throughout
the year. You also do various activities and role-plays under
observation.The Level 2 Certificate for Resort Representatives is
assessed by the completion of work throughout the year. This builds
a portfolio of evidence.
As well as tutorials and assignments you take part in residential
trips and visits to travel and tourism organisations.
You gain these qualifications and awards:
• Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Travel and Tourism
• NCFE Certificate for Resort Representatives
• Welcome Host Award
• Edexcel Functional Skills Level 1 or 2
Applicants for a Level 2 programme will normally have:
- At least 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above and/or a completed Level 1
award
- GCSEs to include English and Maths at Grade D or above or Level 1
Functional Skills qualifications

English and/or Maths

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an
internal assessment. All students will have their literacy and
numeracy needs supported within the programme.
On successful completion of the course you may want to continue your education by studying the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism at City of Oxford College. Alternatively you can find employment in the travel and tourism industry.
