Continuous assessment throughout the course based on both individual and group assignments and practical work.

All units are assignment-based, which requires both practical work and research carried out individually and in groups. There are syllabus-related visits throughout the course.

Successful completion of this course means you gain a 90-credit Level 3 Diploma in IT. You also gain functional skills at Level 2 in IT and mathematics.

Applicants for a Level 3 programme will normally have at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (including some subjects related to the proposed area of study) and/or a completed Level 2 award, and the willingness to study for an additional Level 2 qualification in English and/or maths.

If you are interested in a Level 3 programme and have alternative qualifications you would like us to consider, please contact us with your details. Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an assessment. All students will have their literacy and numeracy needs supported within the programme.

Following this course you can progress to a higher level course and aim for university, or seek employment as an IT practitioner or technician. We will help you to explore all available options.
