The course can be undertaken by existing gas operatives who hold ACS competency in CCN1 and wish to renew their competency or for qualified plumbing operatives to at least NVQ level two who have gathered a portfolio of on-site gas training who require refresher training prior to the CCN1 assessment.
The objective of this course is to allow you to learn and put into practice general knowledge/skill of the Gas Safety Regulations procedures and British Standards which must be applied when carrying out work on gas installations.You cover the following topics:
Tightness testing
Checking and setting of burner pressures
Checking and calculating gas rates

This training day is one of a possible three days to choose from.
You receive expert tuition from industry trained trainers both in
the theory and in practical to assist you for when you undertake
the assessment for CCN1
This refresher course will give you the confidence and understanding to meet all the knowledge objective requirements and competently carry out all the practical tasks for tightness testing checking and setting of burner pressures checking and calculating gas rates re-establishing gas supplies and checking and setting gas devices and controls in order to successfully gain CCN1 accreditation.
You will gain a full understanding of British standards for gas safety installations as well as the regulations and procedures relating to the standards. You gain the confidence to undertake the CCN1 Accreditation assessment and subsequently allow you to apply for Gas Safe registration (upon successful completion of the assessment).
