Description
This course can be taken by existing gas operatives who hold ACS competency in CCN1 and wish to renew their competency. It can also be taken by qualified plumbing operatives (NVQ Level 2 or above) who have gathered a portfolio of on-site gas training and require refresher training prior to the CCN1 assessment.

Flueing/chimney standards, including:
building regulation
identification and classification of open, room sealed and shared flues
chimney construction materials
condensation problems and how to avoid
chimney designs
existing chimneys and new or replacement installations
flue terminal design and positioning

This training day is one of three possible days to choose from. You
receive expert tuition from industry-trained trainers both in the
theory and in the practical to assist you for when you undertake
the assessment for CCN1.
You gain a full understanding of British standards for gas safety installations, as well as the regulations and procedures relating to the standards which will enable you to gain the confidence to take the CCN1 Accreditation assessment.
You will need to already hold ACS competency in CCN1 with less than 6 months before renewal is due or be qualified to NVQ level 2 in plumbing or similar with a portfolio of on-site gas training completed.
You can apply for Gas Safe registration (upon successful completion of the assessment).
