Management involves the process of leading or directing an organisation - taking decisions concerning the deployment of resources. During the Management with Accounting degree you will study the principles of management, and develop commercial awareness, leadership, communication and presentation skills.
Accounting has been defined as the measurement and disclosure of financial information that is used by managers, investors and others to make decisions about the allocation of resources within organisations.
The methods for preparing accounting information must be applied with judgement, and with an understanding of the purposes for which the information will be used. A degree in Management with Accounting will enable you to understand the key principles which underpin a cost or profit figure produced by an accountant, and to appreciate the implications of accounting data for managerial decision making.
