About This Course:This highly practical course prepares you for higher education and media industry employment. You’re continually assessed and you’ll have a project that will be graded.
The first year of this course covers the same subjects as the HNC Media and Communication (above). Then in 2nd year you will continue to develop your skills with a range of individual media production projects.

- NC Media or a similar NQ programme
- Students without these qualifications but who have personal experience may enter at the discretion of the course leader

Media and Communication (above). Then in 2nd year you will continue
to develop your skills with a range of individual media production
projects.

- We like to meet to have a chat with all our applicants. You will then have an individual interview and a short written task (100-200 words). If you need additional support, we can arrange this.
More Information
What You Study:You will study all the areas in the HNC Media and Communication (above). Then in your second year, you’ll study areas including - Journalism, Video Production, Writing for the Media, Pitching & Promoting, Photography and Web Design.
After The Course:Career
Journalism, television and radio production, video production, public relations, and advertising.
Continuing study
Apply for BA Communication at Glasgow Caledonian University or Queen Margaret University, BA Broadcast Production, BA Journalism, BA Film Making & Screen Writing at University of the West of Scotland, BA Journalism, BA PR & Advertising, BA Film & Media at Queen Margaret University. How Long:Two years, starting in August. Progression to year 2 of an HN programme will be a competitive process based upon measurable performance.
