About This Course:This course provides in-depth insight into the roles, responsibilities and duties performed by quantity surveyors and estimating technicians in the building industry. It also develops an increased knowledge of conditions of contracts, estimating, construction techniques, site surveying, building materials, site administration and building services.
What You Need:To apply, you’ll need:
- An NQ in Building or equivalent, OR
- Relevant work experience as evidence of ability, OR
- Be employed in a relevant job in industry
You can also apply if you can demonstrate by formal qualifications or otherwise, a reasonable expectation of successful completion.

What You Study:The subjects you’ll study include Construction Technology: Substructure, Site Administration, Quantitative Building Studies: Substructures and Drainage, Quantitative Building Studies: Floors and Roofs, Estimating, and Quantity Surveying Practice.
Location:City Campus North Hanover Street
Dates:Two years on a Monday in Year 1 and a Friday in Year 2 from 9am-4:30pm
