Overview

About This Course:

This course provides in-depth insight into the roles, responsibilities and duties performed by site engineers and construction management trainees in the building industry. It also develops an increased knowledge of conditions of contracts, estimating, construction techniques, site surveying, building materials, site administration and building services.

What You Need:

To apply, you’ll need:

  • An NQ in Building or equivalent, OR
  • Relevant work experience as evidence of ability, OR
  • Be employed in a relevant job in industry

You can also apply if you can demonstrate by formal qualifications or otherwise, a reasonable expectation of successful completion.

What You Study:

The subjects you’ll study include Construction Technology: Substructure, Site Administration, Human Resource Management in Construction, Quality in Construction, Construction Materials and Specification, and Construction Planning.

Location:

City Campus North Hanover Street

Dates:

DAY RELEASE

Two years on a Monday in Year 1 and a Friday in Year 2 from 9am-4:30pm

  • Year 1: 27th August 2012
  • Year 2: 31st August 2012

EVENING

Two years - 2 evenings per week on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 6pm-8.30pm
