The course provides practical training designed to help you prepare
for a career in Motor Cycle Maintenance. It is designed for the
student to gain practical experience in the Servicing, Maintenance
& Repair of a range of Motor Cycles. Theoretical work will be
undertaken in all areas to complement and reinforce the practical
experience. Functional Skills in Maths, English & IT will be a
compulsory part of the course along with a Personal and Social

spent on practical activities, which are related to the programme
being followed. Ultimately the student has to demonstrate his or
her competence by completing the following units: 001 Engine
lubrication, 002 Engine cooling, 003 Fuel and exhaust systems, 004
Spark ignition systems, 005 Electrical systems, 006 Braking
systems, 007 Transmission systems, 008 Steering and suspension
systems, 009 Wheel and tyre systems, 011 Engine Operation
Principles.This course includes functional Skills and the Edexcel
Award in Personal Development. How will I be Taught? The course is
delivered over 2-Days Practical & ½-Day Theory (Including
Functional Skills & Tutorials) How will I be Assessed? To
achieve the certificate candidates must complete ALL the practical
assessments, guidance notes are attached to each test, these
stipulate test conditions, equipment list & candidate
instructions. Short text papers & oral questions are used to
check underpinning knowledge throughout the course. What our
