Level 3 Production Art and Make-up

This course is designed for students who have a creative flare for make-up, hairdressing, theatre and fashion. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills in all areas related to advanced make-up and hairdressing for theatre and production. It will include special effects make-up techniques, prosthetics, period hair and make-up. This course will be college based and include some external work experience with local theatres. Units include, among others: Make-up Application Skills and creative uses in performance, Period hair design and make-up using prosthetics. How will I be Taught? Theory and practical lessons will be delivered over 3 days a week. Much of the learning process will be student centred and will require commitment, dedication and the ability to conduct independent research How will I be Assessed?
