the course for you. You will learn the science behind plants, use
machinery, be set problems to solve, build and construct patios,
paths and learn how to maintain lawns. You will also be set plant
identification weekly which is a very employable skill to have.
There is the chance to take part in a number of projects including

Work in a friendly environment What will I Study? The course is
split with 65% practical and 35% theory based. It will be taught in
outside practicals and well-equipped classrooms. The following
units will be delivered during your course: Understand the basic
Principles of Plant Science. Landscaping skills including walls,
paving, landscape features. Setting out from a plan: working from
scaled drawings and setting out features from plans. Undertake Work
related Experience in Land-based industries: Getting ready to go
into employment, learning skills in writing CV letters and
interview techniques. How will I be Taught? You will be taught in
many different ways, in the classroom teaching will include
interactive white boards, internet videos, photography,video and
seminars. There will also be discussions, debates, questions and
competitions. In some tasks there will be group, paired and
individual exercises. In practical you will have demonstrations and
visual and auditory teaching. How will I be Assessed? You will be
assessed in many ways, through practical assessments on skills
acquired and written assignments which are set. Grades are set a
Pass, Merit or Distinction on all units. What our students say? "We
