professional external speakers What will I Study? This course
consists of six core units. Work experience is an integral part of
the course. Within the first year you will be taught: - Developing
Effective Communication in Health and Social Care - Equality,
Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care - Health, Safety and
Security in Health and Social Care - Development Through the Life
Stages - Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Health and
Social Care - Caring for Children and Young People. The second year
will offer a variety of specific units and optional pathways in
Health Studies or Social Care. Second year units: - Supporting and
Protecting Adults - Coping with Change in a Health and Social Care
Context - Caring for Individuals with Additional Needs - Dealing
with Challenging Behaviour - Caring for Older People - Infection
Prevention and Control - Technology in Health and Social Care
Services - Working within Health or Social Care How will I be
Taught? Teaching and learning through taught sessions, group work,
role play, self study and practical tasks. There will also be a
number of trips to help enhance the learning experience for all.
Students will have access to a wide range of reading materials
within the library and online library. IT resources are available
within sessions. How will I be Assessed? There will be a variety
assignments, which will be assessed in a variety of ways including
written projects, essays, presentations, voice recordings and
virtual tasks. Assignments are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Some of these tasks will need to be submitted online. What our
