Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at adult learners who wish to study for pleasure or to gain language skills to enable them to communicate at a basic level for holiday, relocation or work purposes.
What will I study?A number of topics are taught in the present tense including vocabulary and grammar structures appropriate for this level of study. Learners will communicate on a simple level in everyday scenarios. Topics include:
- Greetings
- Personal information
- Asking for directions
- Travel
- Booking accommodation
- Shopping
- Eating.

Course Entry CriteriaNo previous knowledge of Urdu is required to study at this level, although a keen interest in the language is necessary. The course is also suitable for learners who have studied at beginner/improver level in previous years and who wish to brush up on their skills.
What will I get at the end of the course?A Blackburn College certificate of attendance
