Unit 3 Contested Planet: Energy security Water conflicts Biodiversity under threat Superpower geographies Bridging the development gap The technological fix? Unit 4 Geographical research Cold Environments Landscapes and Change Superpower geographies Bridging the development gap The technological fix? How will I be Taught? Students currently have 4.5 hours of in class taught sessions in a week. Additionally students are expected to undertake a further 4.5 hours of additional reading and study per week. Classroom activities include group work, experiments, debates and exam focused sessions preparing students to apply their knowledge in the geography exam. Students also have opportunities to learn through Chionline and in the college library. How will I be Assessed? Unit 3: Exam paper 2hrs 30 minutes. Section A students select two from five questions and answer a 10 mark data response question and write a 15 mark essay for both questions. Section B pre-release paper with 3 essay questions Unit 4: 1hr 30min pre-release report on an aspect of student research What our students say?
