consists of 5 core modules and 2 choices. Modules include subjects
such as Animal Health and Welfare, Animal Feeding, Behaviour and
Handling, Care of Exotics and Working with Livestock. How will I be
Taught? Most lessons are 90 minutes long to allow for deep learning
to take place. Lessons range from theory based lectures held in
well equipped classrooms to practical lessons in and around the
animal centre, farm and equine facilities. How will I be Assessed?
Assessment methods vary between the differing modules, with some
assessments taking place as written work in the form of essays,
posters and leaflets. Many modules include practical assessments.
What our students say? Students love the choice of modules and
learning how to handle and care for a wide range of animal species.
