electrical career here. What will I Study? This qualification
consists of several unit components: • Unit 101: Structure of the
Construction Industry. • Unit 102: Fundamental safe working
practices. • Unit 103: Environmental and sustainability measures in
domestic dwellings. • Unit 104: Site preparation for working in the
construction industry. • Unit 105: Electrical installation wiring
and terminations. • Unit 106: Fabrication techniques for electrical
installation. • Unit 107: Electrical science and technology. How
will I be Taught? Theory tuition for the course is by a blend of
class based lessons, detailed hand outs and one to one support by
regular seminars. Practical training will include specific lessons,
demonstrations and assignment packs. These packs are a valuable
source of tutor feedback and provide a good demonstration of
competence for potential employers. An on-line resource (called
MOODLE) is also available to support homework activities and
provide further information. How will I be Assessed? Each unit has
a number of small assessments; these assessments will include
written question, multiple choice questions and component
recognition. The practical will consist of 5 workshop assessment.
