The Certificate is the first stage in the academic training leading
to qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive. The academic stage
normally takes 4 years part time study and, to become qualified,
you will also need to have completed Qualifying Employment in a

complete 5 units in total this year - Introduction to Law and
Practice, Civil Litigation, Law of Tort, Client Care Skills and
Legal Research Skills. How will I be Taught? The course will be
delivered by lecturers in a classroom environment, but you will be
expected to back up the classroom teaching with self study at home.
How will I be Assessed? Assessment is external. You will sit 1 exam
in January and 2 exams in June. In addition you will complete
coursework for the 2 Skills units, which is sent to CILEx for
