Blacksmithing Level 2 Award

This course has been designed to continue on from the NCFE Foundation course and caters for those students interested in furthering their knowledge of the artistic aspects of the Blacksmiths craft. The course will include: Health and Safety, MMA welding and Animal heads to include: Forge Punches, Horse/Suffolk Thumb Latch, Rams Heads. The development of your personalised enterprise passport and enrichment activities fully enhance this course. How will I be Taught? The course focuses on practical workshop sessions designed to further develop your blacksmithing and artistic skills. Some portfolio work is required which is expected to be completed independently outside college hours. How will I be Assessed? Practical and portfolio.
