What will I Study? • Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon • Client care and communication in beauty related industries • Workplace practices and procedures in beauty related industries • Promote and sell products and services to clients • Provide facial skincare • Apply make-up • Provide eyelash and brow treatments • Provide manicure treatments • Remove hair using waxing techniques • Provide body massage • Provide facial electrotherapy treatments • Provide body electrotherapy treatments • Provide electrical epilation • Provide Indian head massage • Apply hot stone therapy • Aromatherapy massage for beauty massage • Reflexology for beauty therapy • Provide pedicure treatments • Anatomy and Physiology e-learning How will I be Taught? Theory and practical lessons delivered over 3 days a week. Much of the learning process will be student centred and will require commitment, dedication and the ability to conduct independent research and assignments. How will I be Assessed? Practical assessments and treatments will be carried out in a commercial salon. Theory criteria will be via written assignments, presentations and case studies. Students will be required to complete a portfolio of work. What our students say?
