pride in learning to produce quality tracks What will I Study? In
your first year you will study and gain confidence with the
sequencing programme 'Logic'. You will produce high quality tracks
through a series of exercises leading to your coursework
submissions. In the Recording studio you will learn how to set up
and record drum, guitar/bass lines, vocal tracks and learn how to
Mix these together. You will be given practical and some theory
based exercises leading towards the completion of your coursework.
How will I be Taught? You will be mainly taught through practical
based learning eg - in the Recording Studio you will shown how and
why we set up certain mics to record a particular instrument - you
will then select the correct mic, position it to capture the
desired sound... then the fun starts as we will experiment with the
sound... How will I be Assessed? You will be set small informal
tasks in recording, sequencing and theory based sessions to develop
your understanding and skills. Coursework - for Sequencing you will
be asked to produce 2 pieces and for Recording 1 piece which are
externally assessed. What our students say? 'I had so much fun
