lights What will I Study? This course consists of two units, unit 1
is an internally assessed performance and unit 2 is assessed by an
externally set written exam. Unit 1 Performance Workshop - This
unit provides you with opportunities to perform in small groups
from a set text and create a devised piece. You will base your
performances on the work of two theatre practitioners. Unit 2 Text
in Performance - In this written examination (2hrs) candidates will
answer three questions:• One Pre-1900 set text • One post-1900 set
text • Live theatre review How will I be Taught? The course will
consist of practical workshops and theoretical lessons. You will
rehearse and present your practical performances in class ; work on
group projects and presentations relating to your set texts and
participate in discussion and acting activities throughout the
year. How will I be Assessed? Unit 1 is an internally assessed
performance Unit 2 is assessed by an externally set written exam
lasting 2 hours. Throughout the course you will be given research
assignments, exam papers and relevent activities to your area of
