Performing Arts BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma / Extended Diploma

You will be involved in every aspect of performing and can focus on dance, drama, stage management or voice performance. The first year serves as an introduction into the discipline and art of professional acting and performing, exploring the skills and purpose of theatre including “Epic Theatre”, “Naturalistic Theatre” and “Theatre of Cruelty”.

Students plan and create their own devised performance as a theatre company. They will learn performance skills and become a director producing their own pieces of theatre with designated actors. They will also take part in a theatre tour travelling around the county performing to at numerous venues with daytime and evening performances.

Successful students embrace different styles of performance from physical theatre, cutting edge contemporary theatre and monologues to pantomime.
