AQA AS Level in Accounting

This course introduces candidates to various accounting concepts and principles, and demonstrates their application to a range of accounting situations. It is based on understanding the double entry system and learning how to prepare financial reports for sole-traders and limited companies. You will also look at the concepts guiding the preparation of these reports. In your second year, you will go on to look at the financial reports in greater detail as well as looking at what happens within an industrial setting, looking at how managers use budgets to make pricing and costing decisions. How will I be Taught? Teaching methods include explanation of accounting techniques followed by practical examples and case studies. How will I be Assessed?
