You will study 11 units: Introduction to Sports Psychology, Psychology of exercise & health, Introduction to contemporary issues, Exercise Physiology, Using Academic literature, Psychology of human movement, Introduction to socio-cultural aspects of sport, Introduction to functional anatomy, Concepts and components of Health & Fitness, Sports Injuries as well as an Independent Project. How will I be Taught? The course includes a variety of teaching and learning strategies. These are designed to stimulate learning and develop study skills to university level. These include Group work,Discussions, Presentation work, Internet / Library /Field research, Book reviews and DVDs. How will I be Assessed? A range of assessment methods is used and full tutorial support is provided to develop the new and returning learner's confidence in studying. During the last part of the programme students conduct a research project on an area of their choice which has been agreed with the tutors.
