The Foundation Diploma in Hospitality is an ideal course for you if you are interested in the field of hospitality and would like an introduction to this industry. Now more than ever, a career in hospitality means the world really is your oyster. With a growing number of hotels, restaurants, leisure and events companies and food service providers creating demand for skilled and talented staff, you will find a wide range of career opportunities across the UK and abroad. The Foundation Diploma will give you a taste of different aspects of the industry and the excitement of working within it. You will learn about the importance of food preparation and presentation, and have the chance to develop some practical skills in designing, cooking and serving a meal. The Diploma will also help you develop important people skills, which are essential in a customercentred industry like hospitality. You will get experience of realistic working environments and of teamworking with your fellow students. During the course, you will also be able to do at least ten days work experience, which is a great way to apply what you have learnt in a working environment.
