Full Description:The BTEC Foundation Learning qualification can be achieved at either Entry level 3 or Level 1 depending on ability. Units covered will be mainly practical based. Numerous work placement opportunities within The Vauxhall Centre, a local nursery, school and care home play a huge part of the course. In addition to the BTEC qualification, learners will have the opportunity to work towards a PSD level 1 qualification, Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT and work towards certificates in Basic Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, First Aid and Manual Handling courses. The course is very flexible, fitting around the learner. Attendance is between 3 and 5 days a week and classed as full time. The main aim of this course is to build confidence and self esteem and prepare learners for higher level courses or employment.
