Security Services - Security Guarding Award Level 2 QCF Awarding Body: Edexcel Course Details To achieve this qualification, candidates must complete a total of 3 mandatory units: Unit 1 Working in the Private Security Industry. Unit 2 Working as a Security Officer. Unit 3 Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry. A Course for Those who need or wish to gain a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a contracted security guard. Entry Requirements Candidates must be over 16 years, but are advised that a licence can only be obtained by over 18 year olds. Level 2 Literacy is recommended, but there are no formal entry requirements. An interview is essential to discuss suitability. Assessment All Units are assessed via a multiple choice test set and marked by Edexcel. (If a candidate has already achieved a unit as part of another licence-linked qualification, they may not need to take them again.) Learning Outcome BTEC Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (QCF).
