Summary:
This programme aims to develop creative practice within the Fashion discipline and equip Learners with a broad range of technical skills together with aesthetic and commercial awareness. Learners’ will be introduced to the basic, but essential aspects of industrial practices, fashion illustration, pattern cutting and garment construction. This is complimented with visual recording and fabric manipulation techniques.
The project-based programme offers strong tutorial support which empowers students to make informed choices about career pathways while building self-initiative, motivation and drive.

- BTEC National Diploma with 2 merits or distinctions
- An equivalent qualification or experience
- 4 GCSE’s grade C and above, one of which must be English Language
Assessment is continuous
Full Description:EnrichmentThroughout the course Learner’s will have the
opportunity to show their work in the annual Fashion and Performing
Arts event. They will also have the opportunity to show work in a
live selling exhibition and also in the end of year Creative Arts
show. Visiting lecturers, designers and artists come to the college
and provide an opportunity for the students to enquire about their
chosen area of study.
