A total of 5 GSCEs at grade (A*-C) which includes:
- GSCE grade (A*-C) in English
- GCSE grade (A*-C) in Science
- GCSE grade (A*-B) in Maths
OR First Diploma/High Engineering Diploma.
In addition a pre-entry task must be completed to a high
standard.
Academic Progression:
After successfully completing this programme, you could move up to
a Exended Diploma, Degree, Foundation Degree or HNC/HND programme,
or you could move on to an Advanced Apprenticeship with an
employer, or to employment with another type of training.

Full Description:The Level 3 Extended Diploma will develop your knowledge of the core engineering subjects, as well as giving you the chance to specialise in either Mechanical Engineering. You will learn how engineering businesses operate and the factors that affect them and the wider industry. You will also have the chance to develop and apply the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) in a range of engineering projects. If you specialise in Mechanical Engineering you will study the following Compulsory Units:
- Health and Safety
- Communications for Technicians
- Project
- Mathematics for Engineering Technician
- Mechanical Principles
