The Construction and the Built Environment Foundation Diploma is an ideal course for you if you are interested in construction and the built environment and would like an introduction to this wide-ranging sector. The Foundation Diploma will introduce you to the built world that we have created. It will give you an understanding of land and materials and how the built environment affects people and communities. You will learn about construction methods and techniques, and the importance of building maintenance. The Diploma is taught through a lively mix of classroom learning, practical projects, employer involvement and work-related study. Working with your fellow students, you will have the chance to develop valuable team-working skills. During the course, you will also be able to do at least ten days work experience, which is a great way to apply what you have learnt in a working environment.
