About This Course:You’ll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Carpentry and Joinery. This will assist you in preparing for employment within the Construction Industry. The course has been designed to deliver a recognised National Qualification in Construction. You will also have the opportunity to develop transferable skills which are important if you want to gain employment within the Construction Industry.
What You Need:- One Standard Grade at General Level, preferably English, Mathematics, Science or equivalent.

More Information
What You Study:Some of the subjects you’ll study include: Bench Joinery Skills and Site Joinery Skills, Manufacture Joinery Components and Repair and Maintenance. You will also study Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Numeracy, Communication and Construction Occupational Practices.
After The Course:Career
On successful completion of the course you will be in a better position to find employment within the Construction Industry.
Continuing study
There may also be the opportunity to progress onto other National Qualification courses.
How Long:This course runs twice a year:
August - December and January - June.
