LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN FORESTRY, ARBORICULTURE, COUNTRYSIDE AND ENVIRONMENT

This modular course offers a combination of theory and practical work related to woodland

management, from arboriculture practice to surveying and mensuration.

Learners will also study Essential Skills.

How you will gain the qualification

Completion of a portfolio of evidence along with written / practical assessments.

What qualifications you need

5 GCSEs at A*-C including English Language/Welsh and either Maths/Science, or successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification preferably at Merit level.

Prospective students will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course.

If you have no Level 2 qualification, you must have experience of working within Forestry as well as 5 GCSEs at A*-C.

Entry requirements may be waived for mature learners, this is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

Where to next

Level 3 Diploma Learners may progress to the Extended Diploma or into employment. Level 3 Extended Diploma learners may progress into employment or to a related Higher Education course.
