Course DescriptionIn collaboration with Dartmoor National Park Authoritry.
If you want to pursue a career in the countryside industry as a Ranger then this Extended Diploma will give you the edge! This course will enable participants to develop the skills and practical experience to work as a Ranger whilst benefitting from a formal link with DNPA. The two year programme underpins theory-based sessions with a strong focus on practical skills. Students will benefit from instruction by an experienced Dartmoor Ranger one day per month at Bicton and an additional one day per month of practical work on-site within Dartmoor National Park.

Entry RequirementsYou will need to achieve 4 GCSEs at grade C or above to include Maths, English and Science. You will also need to attend an interview.

Successful students can develop their careers in management or environmental conservation roles with a range of employers. Those who wish to stay in education may progress to a Level 4 qualification such as a Foundation Degree in Environmental Education.
