Full TimeThis course will give you the opportunity to; understand the range of services within health and social care; develop an awareness of health and safety and the safeguarding and the protection of adults, children and young people; provide you with an understanding of the principles and values in these sectors and develop your communication skills. You will also learn about: human growth and development, healthy eating and receive an introduction to dementia.

Units are assessed using a range of tasks and portfolio evidence. Each module has a fixed number of credits. Students must pass each unit to obtain these.

What qualifications you need
At least 4 GCSEs at grade E or above, one of which must be in English with a minimum of 2 GCSEs at grades A* - D preferred or successful completion of a relevant Entry Level qualification.

You may find a range of jobs in the Public and Private sectors. Alternatively you may choose to stay at College and progress onto Level 2 Health and Social Care.
