Probability and Statistics


The two written papers will comprise some short and some longer questions.


Learners are given opportunities to develop problem solving skills and to generate strategies to solve problems that are unfamiliar.



How you will gain the qualification

Students will sit two external exams in June of equal worth


Paper 1 ( no calculator )


Paper 2 ( calculator )


What qualifications you need

Foundation: grade D in a previous sitting of GCSE Maths or 4 GCSEs at grade D with a minimum of grade E in Maths.


Higher: grade C in Foundation Tier or equivalent.
