The course addresses:


The difference between counselling and helping


Basic concepts underpinning counselling skills


Counselling skills in practice


Development of verbal literacy, in particular effective speaking and listening.




How you will gain the qualification


The level of assessment is Agored Cymru Level 2. Learners will identify personal learning goals during the first session and agree learning aims common to the group. Progress will be monitored using a reflective journal with learners having regular opportunities to review and plan their learning.
