The content of this course covers the following modules:

BCS Essential Level 1 Using IT

Module 1 – IT User Fundamentals

Module 2 – Security for IT Users

Module 7 – Using E-mail and the Internet

BCS Extra Level 2 Using IT

Module 3 - Word Processing (Word)

Module 4 – Spreadsheet Software (Excel)

Module 6 – Presentation Software (Powerpoint)

Module 8 – Improving Productivity Using IT

How you will gain the qualification

After studying each module the learner will be assessed in each of the 7 modules by a mock exam followed by a 45 minute on-line examination. Results of these exams will be known instantly.

What qualifications you need

There are no formal entry requirements but experience of using information technology is essential. It is, however, beneficial for learners to have previously studied CLAiT Level 1 or something similar or to have experience in using Microsoft Office packages. This course is NOT suitable for beginners.
