This course will enable you to develop a range of skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life and develop your knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings.

Course content

The course includes:

  • Health needs of individuals
  • Healthy eating
  • Personal care needs
  • Creative activities

The course will also cover functional skills in English, Numeracy IT and work skills.

Teaching and assessment

There are no examinations. Assessment is via coursework.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs D-G including English Language and CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) clearance and a satisfactory school reference.
